Zambia sets cordon line on border against outbreak of cattle diseases
ZAMBIA - Zambian government has this year released 2 billion kwacha (about 500,000 U.S. dollars) for the construction of a cordon line on the border with Angola to restrict the movement and outbreak of cattle diseases in Western and Northwestern provinces, Zambia Daily Mail reported on Tuesday.

The ministry of agriculture and cooperative has since instructed its officials in the two provinces to start the tendering process for the construction of the cordon line.
Deputy minister of the ministry Daniel Kalenga was quoted as saying that the materials for the construction of the facility on the border are on site and what is remaining is the selection of companies to carry out the works.
"We want local companies to tender for the construction of the project," he said.
