We raise a few beef cows, but it all depends on where you live. I live in Florida, and one of the main concerns we have is the pasture seems to play out after August so we have already had to start giving them hay. How old are the beef cows?

Do you own a dairy, or are you buying the calves from someone?

Grazing with vitamen suppliments is the cheapest and natural way to grow out steers, depending on how much 'finish' you require (fat cover), some grain suppliment might be in order, the quality of your grazing throughout the year needs to be monitored while in use as grazing.
