Default Winter housing ?

Hi all,
Those of you from the warmer parts of the world will probably not need to worry about this but how do you house your cows in winter ?
Here in the UK we have just had some snow which affected some farms with poor housing very badly indeed.
Most places have cubicle housing where each cow has it's own bed which is scraped and usually limed [prevents bacteria build-up] each day/week.
Modern dairy cows especially the HF's and other tall rangy types don't handle the cold weather very well at all and need supplementary feeding.
How do you cope with extremes of weather ?
Jon
