5M Publishing employs a well respected and highly motivated editorial team to keep ThePoultrySite.com and our other publications buzzing with the latest industry news, events and technical information. The team is made up of:
Chris Harris - Editor in Chief
Chris Harris has been Editor in Chief at 5M Publishing since 2007. A journalist for more than 35 years he has edited newspapers and business-to-business magazines as well as the current websites. He has reported on the meat and agriculture industries for more than 20 years.
Jackie Linden - Senior Editor
After an honours degree in Agriculture and a qualification as well as practical experience in pig husbandry, Jackie spent 20 years in the animal feed industry. Following a career move into agricultural journalism on an international poultry magazine, she has been with 5M Publishing since 2008 as editor and then senior editor of ThePoultrySite.com and ThePigSite.com.
Chris Wright - Senior Editor
Chris was born and raised in Mexico and has covered the Latin American poultry industry for over 20 years. He has a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and a Masters Degree in International Relations. Chris travels widely in Latin America reporting from hatcheries, layer and broiler farms, feed mills and poultry processing plants.
Sarah Mikesell - Senior Editor
Sarah joined 5M Publishing as a senior editor in November 2010 overseeing the bioenergy and crop sites. Prior to 5M, she worked at Rhea & Kaiser Marketing Communications in Naperville, Ill. Prior to Rhea & Kaiser, Sarah worked at the National Livestock and Meat Board in Chicago. She also reported on the livestock and lumber futures market from the floor of the CME for Futures World News.
Charlotte Johnston - Editor
After leaving Harper Adams in 2008 with a degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management, Charlotte moved to New Zealand to work as shepherd in the South Island for seven months. On returning to England, she continued to work on various farms in the North of England, before joining 5M Publishing in September, 2009. She is now editor for TheCattleSite and TheFishSite.
Gemma Hyland - Junior Editor
Gemma joined 5M Publishing in June 2011 after graduating from Sunderland University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. After focussing in online news production during her final year of study Gemma joined the bioenergy and crop sites as a Junior Editor, assisting Sarah Mikesell.Supporting the Editorial Team
